USS Nautilus (SSN-571) was the first Nuclear powered vessel in the world. As the cold war raged on, NAUTILUS propelled the United States to the front of the arms and technology race....
While retaining the same basic classic hull shape of a diesel sub of the era, mechanically she was anything but. Previous submarines were not true submarines in that they couldn't stay submerged for more than a few hours (max). With new technology like Nuclear reactors, fresh water distillers and "air scrubbers" her only limitations were the sailors themselves.  Watch the video and submit 10 facts as stated in the video.

Submarine Project Presentation

As part of our module on US Navy Submarines, you will present "your" submarine to your classmates and teach them about your sub. Be proud to present your submarine - she was important. She may have been lost a sea - or, as submariners say, "on eternal patrol." Do a good job in their honor.
